Five things we learned at the spring symposium

Two days, four hundred clinicians, and one question asked at the booth more often than any other: when is a repair the right call?

The five

What we took home

  • Repair is the question of the year

More people asked about repairing a restoration than about replacing one. The porcelain-repair article was written because of it.

  • Isolation is still the step people skip

Every hands-on table had a dam on it; half the room had not placed one since school.

  • Short videos travel

The three-minute clips at the booth were watched more than the twenty-minute ones.

  • Nobody reads the box

The irradiance question came up at every curing-light demo.

  • The German-speaking room wants German

A quarter of the questions came in German, and the answers will too.

What changes because of it

Two of the five are already on the schedule: a repair webinar in the autumn and a short-video series on isolation. The German is a longer story, and it has started.
